Job Title: Tailor

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and fitting garments according to customer specifications. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, precision, and the ability to work with a variety of fabrics. The Tailor will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring clients’ satisfaction with their clothing items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Alterations & Fittings: Perform alterations and adjustments to garments, including resizing, shortening, lengthening, and other customizations to ensure a perfect fit.
• Custom Garment Creation: Design and construct bespoke garments based on client measurements, preferences, and fabric choices.
• Repairs: Repair damaged clothing items, including re-sewing seams, fixing hems, and patching.
• Consultation & Recommendations: Provide clients with expert advice on garment fit, style, fabric choices, and alterations.
• Sewing: Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to create or adjust garments with precision.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• Customer Service: Provide a positive customer experience by addressing client concerns, ensuring satisfaction, and offering professional recommendations.
• Inventory Management: Maintain and organize the tailoring workspace, including managing tools, fabrics, and accessories.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a tailor, seamstress, or similar role.
• Proficiency in hand-sewing and machine sewing.
• Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and pattern making.
• Ability to take precise measurements and perform alterations with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Creative and artistic abilities with a keen eye for fashion.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in tailoring or fashion design is a plus.
