We're thrilled to announce the opening for a Tax Manager. Reporting to the Tax Director, you will identify and mitigate tax risks to ensure taxation compliance. This role will manage end-to-end taxation matters for Moet Hennessy's India (Distribution and Winery) and Thailand entities.

Job responsibilities

How you will contribute…

• Developing and maintaining tax plans, compliance procedures and risk assessment frameworks, to ensure effective tax management.
• Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, VAT, GST and other direct or indirect taxes.
• Collaborating with Local finance and RCOE team to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented accurately per national tax compliances.
• Ensuring various reconciliations and MIS presentation to Management and Monitoring of records for taxation and payments for MHI.
• Handling internal and external audits and Effective communication with vendors & bridge the gaps in recon differences.
• Representation before multiple tax authorities during audits, assessments and litigations to defend the claims made in the returns.
• Finalizing the replies, appeals (including drafting) and representing before Appellate Authorities including Commissioner (Appeals) and Tribunal (Appeals).
• Liaising with auditors, consultants, and counsels to ensure effective representation/appeals.
• Partnering with business and pro-actively support in their initiatives including advising on tax implications to ensure an optimized and tax efficient solution in timely manner.
• Provide regular updates to business on tax matters and on the potential impact of new/changes in laws and regulations on compliance.
• Ensure that systems and processes are implemented / amended to meet the new tax requirements.
• Route to Market analysis and help business on additional registration with additional responsibility.
• Supporting annual statutory audit, internal audits and any other audits.
Yearly differed tax, advance tax computations. Year end book provisions.

Profile

• Education - Post Graduate with a major in Business or Finance (Chartered Accountant).
• Professional Experience and Know-How:
  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience in multinational companies, with a solid background in collaborating with commercial teams.
  • Management Accounting, Ratio analysis.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Financial accounting in SAP environment
  • Familiar with Sales & Commercial Functions (Primary & Secondary sales, Trade Stock, and Pricing).
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ease with technology & modern reporting tools (Global reporting tool, SharePoint, Sales automation tools like Sale Force, Qlik etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel & Power Point is imperative.
• Personal & Interpersonal skills:
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills
  • Adaptable in communication with different levels of management & for cross functional interactions
  • Problem-solver attitude
  • Self-starter - someone who can manage the task from start to finish with minimal intervention
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking

  • Good in time management
