Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teacher for the Baby Room to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, experience working with young children, and a strong understanding of childhood development principles. This role involves creating and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social-emotional growth, and ensuring the well-being of each infant in our care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement curriculum tailored to infants’ developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, sensory activities, and motor skill development.
  • Plan and execute daily lesson plans that promote early intervention and early childhood education best practices.
  • Provide attentive toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies to create a nurturing environment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs.
  • Ensure classroom safety and hygiene standards are consistently met in accordance with childcare regulations.
  • Utilize classroom management techniques to foster a calm, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enhance learning experiences.

Requirements

  • DCF 45 hours and CPR and first Aid training are Mandatory
  • Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom management strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional growth and learning readiness for infants.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom experience and childcare expertise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
