We are seeking a proactive and experienced Team Lead to manage and oversee the counselling and visa processing operations for an education consultancy. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in guiding students, handling documentation, coordinating with universities, and leading a small team to ensure smooth end-to-end admissions processing.
- Lead a team of counsellors and visa processing executives.
- Allocate tasks, monitor daily activities, and ensure team performance targets are met.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to new and existing team members.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Guide students on course options, university selection, and admission procedures.
- Conduct counselling sessions (in-person/online) and maintain follow-up until admission.
- Understand student goals and recommend suitable education pathways.
- Provide accurate information about countries, courses, fees, and visa requirements.
- Oversee end-to-end visa documentation and application processes.
- Ensure all applications are complete, accurate, and compliant with respective country guidelines.
- Coordinate with students, parents, and external stakeholders regarding documentation.
- Keep updated with the latest visa rules and processing requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of applications and documentation.
- Collaborate with universities, partners, and internal departments.
- Track application status and maintain proper records.
- Handle escalations and resolve issues efficiently.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on leads, conversions, admissions, and visa success rates.
- Monitor KPIs and suggest improvements for process efficiency.
- Support management in strategy planning and process enhancement.
- Minimum 24 years of experience in education counselling and visa processing.
- Prior experience in a team lead / senior counsellor role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of international education systems (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe, etc.).
- Ability to multitask and manage timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
