Role Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Technical Design Manager with extensive expertise in aluminum and façade engineering to lead our technical team on major construction projects across the UAE. This senior role requires a visionary professional with deep design knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to develop innovative, compliant, and cost-efficient façade solutions from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the design department, ensuring technically accurate and high-quality outputs throughout all project phases.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of detailed façade design drawings, system calculations, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
• Collaborate with architects, structural consultants, project managers, and clients to develop feasible and optimized façade system designs.
• Review and sign off on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, mock-up documentation, and all related technical deliverables.
• Provide expert technical direction during procurement, fabrication, testing, and installation to resolve design issues and ensure project alignment.
• Perform value engineering, risk assessments, and system optimization to enhance performance, constructability, and cost efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, design trends, materials, and industry advancements in façade engineering.
• Ensure all design activities comply with project deadlines, quality benchmarks, safety requirements, and local/international standards.
• Support tendering teams with technical input, BOQs, system selection, and preliminary designs when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in aluminum and façade design for large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, or landmark projects within the UAE/GCC.
• Strong command of aluminum façade systems, curtain walls, structural glazing, cladding, skylights, and associated materials.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM platforms, and façade-related analysis software (e.g., structural and thermal analysis).
• In-depth knowledge of UAE authority regulations and standards (Dubai Municipality, DCD, ASTM, EN, BS, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to lead design teams, manage complex technical issues, and maintain high performance under project constraints.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
