A Stable, Relationship-Focused Sales Role—No Commissions, No High-Pressure Quotas
Are you a Technical Sales Engineer who enjoys helping customers solve problems, but wants to escape the stress of commission-driven environments? Do you want a role where your technical understanding, curiosity, and professionalism matter more than aggressive selling?
If you’re looking for consistent pay, a supportive team, and a long-term career path, this may be the right fit.
In this role, you’ll blend your technical background with customer interaction—focusing on solution-based selling, project coordination, and long-term partnerships.
Your work will include:
Managing and growing customer accounts across your territory
Identifying new business opportunities through research, networking, and occasional cold outreach
Meeting with engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and end users to understand their needs
Preparing proposals, quotes, and equipment recommendations
Following projects from initial contact through production and delivery
Keeping customers informed with clear, professional communication
Supporting equipment sales with parts and service recommendations
Maintaining a healthy pipeline and organized customer records
You’ll also participate in strategic activities such as:
Researching accounts and identifying key decision makers
Attending selected trade shows to expand visibility and connections
Working with internal teams to ensure alignment and excellent customer care
Teaming with channel partners to close deals and expand the territory
You’ll thrive here if you have:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
1–3+ years of technical sales, account management, or capital equipment experience (or strong aptitude and willingness to learn)
Mechanical/electrical understanding and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
A relationship-driven approach—focused on trust and long-term partnership
Strong organization, follow-through, and time management
A self-starter mindset with comfort managing your schedule and territory
Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight trips
Mix of office, customer sites, and driving
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
Periodic bending or moving at customer sites
Mostly Monday–Friday schedule
Occasional overnight travel
Guaranteed, stable pay—no commissions or quota stress
A laid-back, professional culture that values customer relationships
Freedom and autonomy to manage your territory
A respected company with strong internal support
Clear opportunities for growth in responsibility and earnings
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys sales but prefers a professional, engineering-forward environment with steady compensation rather than commission-based pressure.
