Technician – Access Network Maintenance (Level 2)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technician – Access Network Maintenance (Level 2) to join our team and support the daily operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Access Network systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, practical field experience, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites while ensuring full compliance with Etisalat/e& standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of Access Network systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out rectification as per manufacturer and corporate guidelines.
• Attend shift duties, call-outs, and remote-station tasks on a 24/7 rotation.
• Review tools, test equipment, and work practices with the Team Leader.
• Report equipment condition, safety status, and network issues.
• Monitor logs and alarms with the Shift Engineer; ensure faults are cleared within KPIs.
• Handle complex troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Comply with Etisalat/e& technical standards and HSE procedures.
• Report theft, damage, or irregularities observed during field visits.
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work sites.
• Guide contractors and coordinate onsite activities when required.
• Conduct independent site visits (valid UAE driving license required).
• Participate in audits, joint visits, and discrepancy reporting.

Requirements

• Diploma/Technical certification in Telecom, Electronics, or related field.
• Experience in telecom O&M or Access Network Maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and field maintenance skills.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts (including nights/weekends).
• Valid UAE driving license.
• Good communication and adherence to safety and standards.

Pay: AED3,800.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
