Technology Engineer

Job Description

Act as the primary representative of the Technology Engineering in Oman;

Bridge communication and operational gaps between local teams and the Brazil-based leadership;

Manage and coordinate the execution of industrial automation projects, with a focus on:

Stockyard machine automation: transitioning from locally operated to autonomous systems (anti-collision, remote operation, material tracking, stockyard inventory and autonomous)

Concentration Plant adaptation: a new concentration plant from a partner will require some integration with Vale System such as Zero energy, CMA, PI, Labware, GPV Port/Pelletizing, GByPass, SIOP and SAP.

Private 5G implementation

Supporting additional automation and engineering initiatives as required

Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are met in accordance with global directives.

Provide regular updates, risk assessments, and progress reports to engineering team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, automation, IT, and operations.

Support the implementation of best practices in industrial automation and digital transformation.

Mandatory Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or related fields.

Proven experience in industrial automation projects, preferably in mining.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across geographies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Arabic (Portuguese is a plus).

Experience working in multicultural environments and with remote teams.

Availability for full-time on-site presence in Oman.
