Technology Instructor (Continuing Education)-AC, Heating & Refrigeration

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position.

The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology curriculum provides the basic knowledge to develop skills necessary to work with residential and light commercial systems.

Topics include:

• heating and cooling theory
• electricity, controls
• safety
• air conditioning
• furnaces
• heat pumps
• tools and instruments

In addition, graduates should be able to assist in the start-up, preventive maintenance, service, repair, and/or installation of residential and light commercial systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in AC, Heating & Refrigeration or a closely related field.
• Must possess EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
• Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Extensive experience, well documented in the application packet, or NC Heating/Air Conditioning License may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

Preferred:

• Three-five years experience in the field.
• Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college.
