Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position.
The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology curriculum provides the basic knowledge to develop skills necessary to work with residential and light commercial systems.
Topics include:
- heating and cooling theory
- electricity, controls
- safety
- air conditioning
- furnaces
- heat pumps
- tools and instruments
In addition, graduates should be able to assist in the start-up, preventive maintenance, service, repair, and/or installation of residential and light commercial systems.

Note: This position may be required to teach evening/night classes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in AC, Heating & Refrigeration or a closely related field.
- Must possess EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
- Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Extensive experience, well documented in the application packet, or NC Heating/Air Conditioning License may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Preferred:
- Three-five years experience in the field.
- Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college.
