Position Overview
The Telugu Teacher is responsible for teaching Telugu language, literature, and culture to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring students develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills in Telugu.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Telugu lessons for assigned grade levels.
- Teach reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and conversational Telugu.
- Introduce students to Telugu literature, poetry, stories, and cultural heritage.
- Design age-appropriate learning materials, worksheets, and assessments.
- Evaluate and track student progress; provide feedback and support where needed.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create an encouraging learning atmosphere.
- Organize and participate in school events, including Telugu Day, cultural programs, and competitions.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
- Ensure adherence to school policies, curriculum standards, and academic guidelines.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telugu, Language Studies, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
- Prior teaching experience in a school environment (desirable).
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written Telugu.
- Ability to use teaching aids, digital tools, and interactive methods.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners.
- Creativity in lesson planning and storytelling.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
