Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing the preparation, coordination, and submission of competitive tenders and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
Main job duties and responsibilities:

Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQ), and pricing strategies.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management departments to gather input for bid preparation.

Assess project risks, resource requirements, and timelines in collaboration with the relevant teams.

Conduct pre-tender site visits, when necessary, to understand project scope and logistics.

Identify and communicate any discrepancies, risks, or clarifications required with the client or consultant.

Prepare value engineering proposals and alternatives to enhance competitiveness.

Lead internal tender review meetings and present proposals to senior management.

Ensure timely submission of bids and compliance with all tender requirements and deadlines.

Monitor market trends, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to maintain cost accuracy.

Lead the tendering team in preparing and submitting complete and competitive technical and financial proposals.

Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job’s specialty.
Educational background and previous experience:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Min. 6 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or commercial roles within the construction industry.
