Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for toddlers, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and personalized care. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and effective caregiving techniques to foster a positive learning atmosphere for young children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers
- Provide attentive supervision and care to ensure the safety and well-being of each child in the classroom
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive social interactions among children
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development, behavior, and needs
- Manage classroom routines including meal times, naps, diaper changes, and transitions between activities
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational program that aligns with curriculum standards
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing tailored strategies and accommodations
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching strategies
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a structured yet flexible learning environment
- Ability to handle behavior management effectively with patience and professionalism
- Certification in first aid and CPR preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with a genuine love for nurturing young learners
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with classroom experience, babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles is advantageous
