Tool Crib Technician Lead
Purpose: Oversee Tool crib to ensure that the needs of maintenance and production are met. This includes tool repair, adequate inventory management, receiving, and working with outside vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, energy, and positive attitude to ensure that the needs of operations are met or exceeded

Diagnoses problems with tools and disassembles as required

Perform Tool/ equipment service and repair duties in a timely fashion. Repairs include a variety of hand-held pneumatic and electrical tools such as impact wrenches, screw guns, staple guns, etc

Manage, stock, and receive inventory

Orders replacement parts and maintains and controls the inventory of replacement parts

Work to find improved ways to organize and increase accountability of tool crib inventory

Insure that proper tools are being used in production. Work with vendors, research, and test tools to better support operation’s needs.

Receive and Close PO’s

May perform jobs involving the use of machinery/equipment such as welders, brazing machines, lathes, grinders, etc

Performs other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Requires 3 to 5 years related experience and knowledge equivalent to high school education. Requires a thorough knowledge of hand and power tool assembly and the ability to read and understand assembly diagrams/schematics.
- Requires good oral communication skills. Requires the ability to operate a variety of maintenance related equipment and machinery.
