Join Barclays as a Trading Analyst. At Barclays, our vision is clear –to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will support day-to-day trading operations across pre-open, intraday, and post-close workflows. You will prepare trading worksheets, reconcile breaks, and configure key parameters to ensure accurate intraday order execution. During market hours, you will help manage risk, bookings, and trade lifecycles across AMM and Atlas Risk while coordinating with multiple internal teams. After market close, you will perform trade recap and settlement price checks to produce an accurate end-of-day snapshot.

To be successful as a Trading Analyst, you should have:


  • Python, and general programming skills for automation and analysis
  • Proficiency in trade booking systems such as AMM and Atlas Risk
  • Ability to reconcile breaks and identify PnL/risk discrepancies
  • Understanding of ELN and Flex product lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with market microstructure and intraday order workflows

This role is located in our New York, NY office.

This role is regulated by FINRA.

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $125,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.

Accountabilities


  • Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
  • Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
  • Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
  • Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
