Transplant and Cell Therapy Physician - Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Institute Washington DC
The Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program at MedStar Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington D.C. is a FACT-accredited program that is growing rapidly and is seeking additional transplant/immune effector cell therapy physicians to practice at Georgetown, MedStar System. This position provides the ability to work with an outstanding group of nationally recognized experts in Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy; in the only NCI designated cancer center in Washington DC. Excellent research and academic opportunities are offered with the ability to collaborate with its NCI consortium partner, Hackensack Meridian Health John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC). Together with JTCC, the position provides access to a very large patient population and an ideal platform for clinical and translational research in the field.
The successful candidate will help further develop and grow the established Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Immunotherapy Program into a destination site. The position of BMT physician offers:
Opportunity to work in an evolving and growing NCI designated program.
Opportunity for associate leadership roles within the program
Strong clinical, research, and administrative infrastructure.
Opportunity to work with nationally recognized hematologic malignancies and BMT/IEC teams.
Access to a state-of-the-art NGS platform for routine care and research.
Strong infrastructure support in place (APNs, research RNs, clinical, administrative, and research support staff in cell therapy).

Qualifications:
BC/BE Hematologist or Medical Oncologist with interest in Stem Cell Transplant/Cell Therapy
BC/BE Immunologists with appropriate clinical experience will also be considered
Minimum of one year of supervised clinical training in transplantation OR two years as an attending physician responsible for the clinical management of both inpatient and outpatient transplant patients. Clinical experience in transplant and cellular immunotherapy
Prior research experience in transplant or cellular immunotherapy is desirable
