GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Court Administrator/ Treatment Court Coordinator, is responsible for case management activities, participant supervision, and facilitation of communication between the court, treatment providers, and law enforcement.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enter or assure entry of participant data into the Drug Court Case Management Information System (DCCMIS).
2. Compile necessary participant identification and other data to support determination of eligibility for treatment court participation in compliance with local, state and federal policies.
3. Performs and scores assessments on potential participants. Reports results at staffing.
4. Provides information to involved agencies, stakeholders and the public as to the 35th Circuit Court Treatment Court programs.
5. Coordinates efforts to identify community resources and to provide a full continuum of needed educational and vocational services, safe and sober housing, and other beneficial community supports.
6. Conduct random drug screens and/or breathalyzer testing on specialty court participants as ordered.
7. Attend staff meetings and court hearings to provide clarification and/or supplemental information regarding the case.
8. Compile participant information for probation as needed.
9. Meet with participants for the purpose of assessing compliance, need for community resources/support and assigning tasks.
10. Prepare written reports for the Court as directed.
11. Maintain drug court files in compliance with local, state and federal policies.
12. Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
13. Performs all other duties as assigned.
14. Attends other courts as directed.
15. Performs other duties as directed.
16. Use of various computer systems, including CherryLan, DCCMIS, JIS, LaserFiche, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, OTIS, Nitro, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, in the performance of duties.
17. Provides assistance in other Circuit Court operations as directed by the Circuit Court Administrator.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
1.
a. Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice, human services, or other related field from accredited college or university.
b. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a court system, substance use field or other related legal or therapeutic setting.
c. Computer literate in operation of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

a. Considerable knowledge criminal law and substance use and mental health disorders.
b. Ability to analyze legal documents and instruments.
c. Considerable knowledge of judicial procedures and court rules.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Office and courtroom setting work environment.
2. Exposure to litigants in various emotional states who may be verbally abusive or hostile. These individuals may suffer from mental or emotional illness, have violent tendencies, or be unconcerned with their personal safety and hygiene.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, balance, twist, bend, squat, kneel, lift, carry, push, pull, reach and type.
2. This position requires the ability to communicate and respond to inquiries in person and over the telephone.
3. This position requires the ability to operate a PC/laptop and to enter and retrieve information from a computer.
4. This position requires the ability to handle varying and often high levels of stress.

Pay: $51,792.00 - $63,336.00 per year
