Goodwill Industries of Wayne & Holmes Counties is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Truck Driver to support our mission by transporting donated goods, materials, and industrial products throughout our operating territory. This role plays a critical part in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring exceptional service to our donors, customers, and partners.

✨ Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an automatic transmission box truck in day or night conditions and in all weather.

• Drive assigned routes to collect and transport donated materials and Industrial Services products.

• Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are placed in the proper areas.

• Maintain accurate time schedules for arrivals and departures.

• Keep detailed records of materials collected, contract runs, miscellaneous trips, and daily mileage.

• Perform pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle or equipment malfunctions.

• Complete basic truck maintenance such as adding fluids, changing bulbs, and refueling.

• Maintain clean, orderly conditions at stops and on the truck.

• Assist with baling and warehouse operations when routes are finished.

• Operate a forklift.

• Deliver outstanding customer service and represent Goodwill professionally at all times.

• Work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical & Functional Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., frequently up to 100 lbs., and occasionally over 100 lbs.

• Ability to stoop, bend, squat, pull, or twist as part of routine daily tasks.

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

• Must be cooperative, friendly, well-groomed, and consistently follow safety guidelines and uniform requirements.

Position Requirements

Supervision: May supervise a Truck Helper as needed

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of driving experience

Certification: Valid Forklift Certification

Licenses: Valid driver's license and proof of insurability

Pre-Employment:

• Background check

• Drug and alcohol screening (must pass prior to employment)

Pay Rate: $17.50 - $19.50/hour
