Truss Designer- Remote

We are seeking a Remote Truss Designer to support our team . We’re looking for a detail-driven professional who excels at producing precise truss layouts and can apply both technical expertise and creative problem-solving. This role is ideal for an experienced designer who thrives in a collaborative remote environment and has essential, hands-on proficiency with Alpine software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop truss and wall panel designs that meet building codes, project requirements, and production standards.
• Translate architectural and structural drawings into accurate and dependable truss layouts.
• Prepare estimates, material take-offs, and labor calculations for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to verify design accuracy and refine details as needed.
• Keep all revisions, updates, and supporting documentation organized and current.
• Recommend design adjustments that improve efficiency and help reduce overall project costs.

Skills & Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency with Alpine design software is essential (non-negotiable).
• Solid understanding of wood framing practices and truss engineering principles.
• 3–5 years of experience in truss design or a related drafting/structural role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
