Basic Job Functions:
The Tundish Yard Operator is responsible for safe and efficient performance in the tundish yard at all times. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspection, repair or replacement of tundish refractories and metallics
- Review and mastery all refractory procedures
- Crane operation
- Maintenance responsibilities of the refractory area
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior Melt Shop or Refractory Experience
- Overhead Crane Operator Experience
