Underwriting Manager – General / Non-Motor Lines

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead the Non-Motor / General Lines portfolio (Property & Fire, Liability, Marine, Engineering, Credit, Travel, etc.). The role involves ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, driving profitability, and enhancing or developing insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Underwriting Department.
• Ensure technical profitability and compliance with underwriting standards.
• Assess risks and provide quotations across all General Insurance lines.
• Coordinate with Business Development, clients, and brokers.
• Oversee Risk Engineers for surveys and PML/MFL assessments.
• Prepare presentations and update product materials.
• Set and report KPIs to management.
• Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines and manuals.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proven leadership and technical expertise in underwriting.
• Graduate or Postgraduate with ACII/AIII/FIII (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years’ experience, including 5 years in a managerial role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED25,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month
