Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Urban Planning Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to for overseeing and managing the activities of a diverse team across three main delivery streams:

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and/or Design Director to manage designers and specialist consultants.

• Manage consultants to ensure the delivery of high-quality urban design concept drawings and reports.

• Manage consultants in the preparation of technical design packages through to tender and monitor construction quality.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, and internal and external team members, including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialist designers, engineers, and quantity surveyors.

• Plan, delegate, and manage workflows within the team structure, ensuring efficient reporting and planning processes.

• Act as a primary liaison with clients and their representatives, maintaining strong professional relationships.

• Contribute to the preparation of client reports, technical proposals, including estimating levels of effort, developing work plans, and creating project schedules.

• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies by maintaining affiliations with professional societies.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the master planning and urban design field, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.

• Proven experience managing teams within established architecture/engineering firms or on the client side.

• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian municipalities, developers, and regulatory frameworks.

• Strong leadership and project delivery skills, with a track record of managing complex design projects.

• Knowledge of sustainability principles such as LEED, Mostadam, or similar certifications; certification is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
