Position Summary...

The Financial Consolidations Engineering team builds and supports Walmart’s global consolidation platforms that enable month-end close, external reporting, intercompany eliminations, and financial transparency across all markets. We partner closely with Controllership, Corporate Accounting, External Reporting, and SAP teams to modernize Walmart’s consolidation ecosystem as part of our NextGen EPM and SAP HANA programs.

What you'll do...

Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.

What you'll do: Build & Scale Consolidation Platforms
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of FCCS/HFM-based global consolidation solutions.
  • Own key technical components including metadata management, consolidation rules, ownership structures, FX translation, intercompany eliminations, and cash flow models.
Deliver Close & Reporting Capabilities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close by enabling accurate and timely consolidated financials, cash flow, statutory and SEC reporting.
  • Improve automation, refresh schedules, monitoring, and data validation processes.
Engineer Integrations & Data Flows
  • Design and manage integrations between FCCS/HFM and SAP S/4HANA, data lakes (GCP/BigQuery), FDMEE, and other enterprise systems.
  • Implement secure, governed, and scalable data pipelines for consolidation.
Drive Technical Modernization
  • Contribute to Walmart’s NextGen Consolidation (HFM FCCS) roadmap.
  • Modernize legacy assets, adopt cloud-native capabilities, and improve system observability.
Strengthen Governance & Controls
  • Maintain SOX-compliant processes, produce audit-ready documentation, and enforce proper role-based access controls.
  • Support environment management, patching, DR planning, and performance tuning.
Partner & Influence
  • Work closely with Accounting, Controllership, FP&A, Internal Audit, and Technology to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership in consolidation architecture, data lineage, and system design reviews.



What you'll bring: Required
  • 10+ years hands-on experience with Oracle FCCS and/or HFM.
  • Strong expertise with the EPM Suite (FDMEE, EDMCS, NRCS, SmartView, EPM Automate, Financial/Management Reporting).
  • Deep understanding of consolidation concepts:
    • Intercompany eliminations
    • Ownership & NCI
    • CTA and multi-currency translation
    • Equity adjustments
    • YTD vs Periodic logic
    • Cash flow automation
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation: Groovy, Calc Manager, VBScript, Jython, PowerShell, REST APIs.
  • Experience building metadata models, hierarchies, and data reconciliation processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across data, metadata, rules, and integrations.
  • Experience with FCCS security, AD/SAML integration, and access governance.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls, audit expectations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud patching cycles, DR planning, environment refreshes, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners.
Preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience migrating HFM applications to FCCS.
  • Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BI/BW, ODI/OIC, or enterprise data lakes.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and multi-GAAP reporting.
  • Experience managing global entity hierarchies, minority ownership structures, and complex multi-currency environments.
  • Exposure to BigQuery, API-based integrations, and cloud-native data engineering patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD for EPM Cloud artifacts and version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks (nice-to-have).

The annual salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $165,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
