Value Analysis Specialist-Clinical

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to ensure decisions in supply chain processes like procuring and inventory management

are integrated with business utility and requirement components and advice. Engage key stakeholders in collaborative

product evaluation and purchasing decisions. Undertake collection, compiling and presentation of relevant product and supplier related data, assessment of technological advancements and related product variations for collaborative decision making.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the assigned value analysis initiatives and prepare value analysis meeting presentations, and other supporting materials in collaboration with the Value Analysis AED and working group members
• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely reports on Value Analysis initiatives.
• Working cross-functionally with the clinical and supply chain leadership (Demand and Forecasting, Warehousing, expediting and Procurement)
• Identify opportunities for standardization and utilization of products.
• Support with the product introduction, investigation, analysis, education, conversion/consumption, and tracking the value analysis initiatives outcomes.
• Facilitate research (as part of the Value Analysis Working Group) in selecting and rationalize the specific products (with an emphasis on evidence-based information) to achieve value analysis goals.
• Ensure that the value analysis and standardization efforts for the assigned initiatives do not have negative implications on quality, patient, and staff safety. Recommend and engage the right technical resources part of the Value Analysis Working Group to manage such issues
• Monitor value analysis savings and outcome targets, and report on the assigned value analysis initiatives.
• Support in overall value analysis process of the assigned value analysis initiative
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field

Experience

6 years’ experience in Value Analysis within Supply Chain out of which 2 years in healthcare organization

HMC may exempt Value Analysis aspect of experience requirement for HMC staff with 6 years’ experience within Supply Chain Management in HMC.
