Primary Role:
As a Vendor Manager, your primary role will be to manage and develop relationships with our vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality products, timely deliveries, and competitive pricing. You will be responsible for the vendor selection, performance management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related inquiries and negotiations.
• Identify and onboard new vendors to expand product selection and enhance the customer experience.
• Evaluate vendor performance regularly, addressing any issues or concerns and working closely with them to implement improvement plans.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors, ensuring optimal value for both parties.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, finance, and logistics, to develop and execute strategies for successful product launches and promotions.
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth, making recommendations to the VP of Commercial and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate product information is available on our website, working closely with the content and merchandising teams.
• Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and competitors, staying up-to-date on new products, technologies, and market changes.
Skills, Knowledge required
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying opportunities for growth and implementing effective solutions.
• Deep understanding of e-commerce, supply chain management, and inventory control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and experience with vendor management software and e-commerce platforms.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Education, Experience Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management
• Experience working in e-commerce or retail industry preferred
• Experience in contract negotiation and management
• Experience with supplier performance management and improvement strategies
