Core Functions of the Customer Service Associate
- As a Customer Service Associate, you will guide customers through Verizon FiOS service options, helping them choose fiber internet, TV, and phone packages that match their needs and usage habits.
- Resolve service inquiries and account issues with professionalism and empathy, ensuring customers feel supported and receive timely solutions.
- Verify account details and manage documentation to prepare customers for smooth activation, installation, and service readiness.
- Keep CRM records updated with customer interactions, service milestones, and account changes to support campaign tracking and retention.
- Spot upgrade opportunities by reviewing usage patterns and sharing insights that enhance satisfaction and drive service adoption.
- Work with fellow customer service associates and internal teams to resolve service challenges, streamline onboarding, and uphold Verizon FiOS standards for customer care and territory growth.
Education & Experience Needed for the Customer Service Associate
- High school diploma or GED required; studies in business, communications, or marketing preferred.
- Prior experience in customer support, retail, or field-based outreach, ideally within telecom, hospitality, or subscription-driven industries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen actively, explain service options clearly, and build trust with customers.
