Position Title: Vice Principal
Location: Kharghar, Navi Mumbai
Reporting To: Principal / Head of School

Position Overview
The Vice Principal will serve as an academic and administrative leader, supporting the Principal in achieving the school’s vision of holistic, experiential, and value-based learning. This role involves ensuring academic excellence, upholding ICSE curriculum standards, leading faculty development, and fostering a positive school culture that nurtures students' intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Academic Leadership
- Oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of the ICSE curriculum across grades.
- Ensure regular review of lesson plans, academic calendars, assessments, and teaching methodologies.
- Track student performance data and initiate academic improvement strategies.
- Introduce innovative teaching-learning practices aligned with Vishwajyot’s experiential learning approach.
- Coordinate with academic heads and subject leaders to maintain high instructional quality.
B. Faculty Management & Development
- Mentor, guide, and supervise teaching staff; conduct classroom observations and provide feedback.
- Organize teacher training, professional development programs, and workshops.
- Assist in faculty hiring, performance appraisals, and role assignments.
C. Student Development & Discipline
- Uphold a structured yet nurturing environment promoting student well-being.
- Manage discipline issues, establish behavior guidelines, and ensure adherence to school policies.
- Support student leadership programs, counseling initiatives, and holistic development activities.
D. Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal in day-to-day school operations.
- Ensure compliance with ICSE board norms, audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee timetable planning, substitute management, examinations, and reporting systems.
- Support budget planning and resource management for academic departments.
E. Parent & Community Engagement
- Maintain strong communication channels with parents; address concerns professionally.
- Participate in parent orientations, PTMs, school events, and community outreach programs.
- Represent school leadership when required.
3. Qualifications & RequirementsEducational Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject + B.Ed. (mandatory).
- Additional certifications in educational leadership/administration preferred.
Experience
- At least 3–5 years in academic coordination or leadership roles (HOD, Coordinator, Vice Principal, etc.).
- Prior experience in an ICSE school is strongly preferred.

- Strong understanding of ICSE curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills—written and verbal.
- Ability to handle discipline, crisis situations, and parent interactions effectively.
