Video Editor Trainee

The Video Editor Trainee will support the Creative & Editorial Department in producing engaging video content for Cyber World Insight’s digital platforms. This traineeship is ideal for individuals who want to build a strong video editing portfolio and gain real-world experience in a media, research, and educational environment.

You will work on editing social media videos, research explainers, interviews, podcasts, short reels, and promotional content for CWI and its associated projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit videos for YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and website.
• Create short-form content, reels, and highlight clips from long videos.
• Add subtitles, transitions, sound effects, and basic animations.
• Assist in editing interviews, podcasts, and educational content.
• Support the team during shoots and content planning (if required).
• Maintain organized project files, versions, and backups.
• Follow branding guidelines and ensure consistent quality in all videos.
• Participate in weekly review meetings and revise work based on feedback.

Skills Required (Beginner-Friendly)

• Basic understanding of video editing and storytelling.
• Familiarity with at least one editing tool:
• CapCut (required)
• Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred)
• DaVinci Resolve (plus point)
• Adobe After Effects (optional)
• Good sense of pacing, transitions, and sound syncing.
• Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, and meet deadlines.
• Creativity and willingness to explore trends in video content.

Eligibility

Students or fresh graduates in:

• Media Studies
• Film & TV
• Mass Communication
• IT / Computer Arts
• Social Sciences with interest in video editing

Freelancers or self-taught editors are also encouraged.
No professional experience required — just talent and willingness to learn.
