Overview
As a videographer, you will need to be involved in the creative thinking process for producing video-graphic collaterals, attending shoots and assisting with directing the styling and setting up. Other responsibilities include project conception, filming/photographing, capturing professional quality audio, editing, distribution and archiving.
Responsibilities
- Taking part in brainstorming sessions to help align concepts with the Art director and Creative director, and relevant social executives, as well as any other stakeholders needed in the thought process.
- Give technical input to the production and creative team when assessing production timelines and resources.
- Take a brief to grasp the Creative teams needs and specifications.
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on briefs to assure consistency and direction.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequences.
- Input music, dialogues, and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to ensure direction is being followed.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximise efficiency.
- Attend shoots on time and follow shot lists.
- Make sure behaviour on shoots is adequate and represents the company well.
- Creative approach to shooting.
