The Waitress Supervisor oversees the front-of-house service team in a Moroccan dining environment, ensuring authentic hospitality, smooth service flow, and an exceptional guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, cultural awareness of Moroccan dining traditions, and the ability to maintain high service standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesService & Operations
- Supervise the daily operations of the service team to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Maintain and uphold the traditional Moroccan hospitality experience throughout the guest journey.
- Ensure proper presentation and service of Moroccan dishes, teas, and beverages according to restaurant standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure accurate and timely food delivery.
- Monitor cleanliness and ambiance of the dining area, ensuring it reflects Moroccan cultural aesthetics.
- Assist in managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow during peak hours.
- Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and support waitresses and service staff.
- Train team members on service standards, menu knowledge, traditional Moroccan service customs, and upselling techniques.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate menu updates, special dishes, promotions, and service expectations.
- Support onboarding of new staff and ensure they are aligned with the restaurant’s service culture.
Quality & Standards
- Ensure all staff follow grooming, uniform, and hygiene guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor service quality and take corrective actions where needed.
- Ensure proper setup of tables according to Moroccan dining traditions and outlet standards.
Administration
- Assist with scheduling, attendance monitoring, and shift planning.
- Report any maintenance, equipment, or operational issues to management.
- Support inventory checks of service items (cutlery, glassware, crockery, linens).
- Help prepare performance evaluations for service staff.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Supervisor or Senior Waitress in a high-end restaurant (Moroccan or Middle Eastern cuisine preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Moroccan cuisine, tea service, and dining traditions is an advantage.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English; Arabic or French is a plus.
