POSITION : WARDBOY
REPORTING TO : MANAGER - IN-PATIENT
QUALIFICATION : UNDER GRADUATE
EXPERIENCE : 2 YEARS AND MORE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key areas of responsibility:

1. To ensure proper cleaning of O.T. rooms periodically i.e. daily (before start & end of the day and between each case) and weekly.
2. To collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
3. Safe transportation of dirty and infected linens as per linen policy.
4. To maintain positive interpersonal relations with other O.T. staffs.
5. To promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and coworkers including the implementations of infection control policies of the hospital.
6. To maintain proper segregation of general and biomedical waste management as per BMW Policy.
7. Take care of cleaning materials & ensure economical use of supplies from the department.
8. Report missing or broken hospital property to the O.T. Incharge.
9. To give priority to emergency cases and to co-ordinate with the consultants / respective department for the same.
10. To maintain appropriate departmental documentation.
11. To treat all communication about patients, staff, and other organizational business confidentially.
12. To be involved in quality Assurance / Quality control activities.
13. To perform all the jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.
14. Participation in Continuous Quality Improvement.
