Warehouse Manager – Job Description

Position Overview:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, dispatch, and inventory control. This role involves managing staff, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing processes to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:1. Operations & Logistics

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain proper documentation of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams for smooth operations.

2. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels and perform regular inventory audits.
• Implement inventory control systems to minimize variances and losses.
• Ensure proper SKU management, batch control, and FIFO/FEFO compliance.

3. Team Management

• Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff.
• Create shift schedules and allocate tasks to optimize productivity.
• Promote a positive and disciplined work environment.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse premises.
• Conduct safety drills and ensure use of proper PPE by staff.

5. Process Improvement

• Identify areas for operational improvement and implement efficient systems.
• Optimize space utilization and warehouse layout.
• Introduce technology-driven solutions where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, WMS/ERP systems, and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Strong understanding of safety guidelines and compliance requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,265.79 - ₹48,366.37 per month
