Responsibilities

• Machine Operation
• Operate a wheel loader to move, load, and transport materials such as sand, gravel, rocks, or waste.
• Use the loader efficiently for tasks such as stockpiling, leveling, backfilling, and site clearing.
• Material Handling
• Load trucks or hoppers with materials safely and accurately.
• Ensure even distribution and proper loading to avoid overloading or spillage.
• Equipment Inspection
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections of the wheel loader to check tires, hydraulic systems, brakes, lights, and other critical parts.
• Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs immediately.
• Site Safety
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE while operating the loader.
• Be vigilant around other workers, equipment, and obstacles to avoid accidents.
• Machine Maintenance
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as greasing, fueling, and cleaning.
• Ensure the loader is parked safely and secured after use.
• Efficiency & Productivity
• Operate the loader in a fuel-efficient and productive manner.
• Minimize idle time and handle materials carefully to reduce waste and damage.
• Following Instructions
• Take directions from site supervisors or foremen to complete daily assignments.
• Understand site layouts, material types, and loading/unloading areas.
• Record Keeping
• Maintain logs of work completed, fuel used, and hours operated if required.
• Report any incidents, breakdowns, or safety concerns immediately.
• Environmental Awareness
• Avoid unnecessary dust generation and prevent spillage while operating.
• Comply with environmental regulations and waste management procedures.
• Teamwork
• Work closely with truck drivers, excavator operators, and ground staff for coordinated site activities.
• Communicate effectively using hand signals or radios.
