Position Summary

Flint International is hiring a Wireless Network Engineer to plan, deploy, and optimize enterprise Wi Fi networks for high density and mission critical environments. Your designs will deliver reliable coverage, capacity, and security.

Detailed Job Description

You will conduct predictive and on site surveys, RF planning, and controller/AP configurations across campuses and branches. Expect hands on with tools like Ekahau/AirMagnet, tuning for 802.11ax/6E, and implementing 802.1X, WPA3, and role based access. You'll integrate WLAN with wired LAN, NAC, and location services, and build design documents, heatmaps, and acceptance reports. The role includes troubleshooting RF/interference issues, spectrum analysis, and continuous optimization via telemetry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform RF surveys, capacity planning, and channel/power optimization
  • Configure controllers/APs, SSIDs, QoS, and roaming for voice and high density
  • Implement secure access (802.1X/WPA3), guest onboarding, and segmentation
  • Integrate WLAN with wired LAN, NAC/ISE, and location/analytics services
  • Produce designs, heatmaps, and as built documentation; lead acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot RF issues using spectrum analysis and monitoring tools
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years in enterprise WLAN design and operations
  • Proficient with Ekahau (or AirMagnet) and RF fundamentals
  • Hands on with Cisco/Aruba/Ruckus (or equivalent) controllers and APs
  • Strong knowledge of 802.11 standards, security (802.1X), and QoS for voice/video
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication
Nice to Have Skills
  • CWNA/CWNP, Cisco wireless certifications
  • Experience with 802.11ax/6E designs and high density venues
  • NAC/ISE integration and role based access control
  • Python/Ansible for WLAN configuration at scale
  • Location services, BLE, and wayfinding solutions
Recruitment Pro Tip

Attach a sample heatmap and a short narrative of how you handled RF constraints (walls, density, interference). Visual proof of design rigor is a powerful differentiator.
