Chicago based Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking an Attorney in our Workers’ Compensation Department. The primary focus of this role is helping clients navigate the complex legal process and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Meet with clients to discuss their work-related injuries or illnesses

· Assess the circumstances surrounding the injury and gather relevant information

· Conduct legal research to build a strong case on behalf of the client

· Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and submitted within legal deadlines

· Negotiate with insurance companies or employers to reach fair settlements

· Prepare and present a compelling case on behalf of the client

· Represent clients in hearings, depositions or court proceedings at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission

· Advocate for clients’ rights to medical treatment, disability benefits, and rehabilitation services

· Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.

· Inform clients of any updates regarding their case

Skills and Qualifications

· Efficiently manage a heavy caseload, ensuring timely updates and actions on each case.

· Excellent ability to communicate effectively with clients.

· Strong critical thinking skills

· Adaptability and attention to detail

· Ability to communicate in writing and verbally effectively/Spanish speaking a plus
