Yard Laborer for Heavy Equipment (Mechanical Aptitude Needed)

GeoQuip, Inc. is seeking a tech/helper for our growing operation in Houston, Texas. Mechanically inclined applicants are preferred. The ideal candidate is someone interested in working their way up in our company.

The tech will be asked to help load and unload equipment from trucks, move items in equipment yard, assist our chief mechanic with tasks at hand, clean equipment and many other critical tasks.

Applicants must be able to work outdoors, lift up to 100 lbs. and follow instructions. The tech will focus on assisting in all aspects of pile driving equipment maintenance as well as receiving and logging in equipment, among other duties.

High school graduates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply! Experienced laborers, helpers and others with construction/mechanical backgrounds are also great fits for this role.

The ideal candidate will be able to pay close attention, learn about the equipment, watch and learn from expert mechanics and grow in abilities to work with decreasing amounts of supervision. We are seeking someone reliable and willing to help others.

A valid, UNRESTRICTED driver's license is required. A CDL is unnecessary.

This could very easily be considered an on-the-job training program with an opportunity for advancement. For the right person, it is an opportunity for learning while being paid!

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. One hour lunch break.
