I am a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with over 25- years of postgraduate working experience, offering over 15- years of experience in the successful delivery of geotechnical solutions. Throughout my career of 25-years after graduation, I have been involved in Infrastructure, Commercial and Residential Projects, primarily in Bahrain, Australia and Malaysia. I am presently registered with Bahrain’s “The Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions”, as a Category A (Geotechnical) Civil Engineer, working as Head of Geotechnical Engineering Group, in Materials Engineering Directorate in the Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs & Urban Planning. I spearhead geotechnical projects management and provide geotechnical advice for important government projects as well as review of geotechnical works by the consultants, contractors, specialist contractors and subcontractors. I was the Geotechnical Manager at Al Hoty Analytical Services - Bahrain, the in-charge of the Geotechnical Department, effectively managing functions related to geotechnical projects management, technical advice for ground investigation projects, preparing tender and pricing and geotechnical design and associated reporting (Geotechnical Design Reports and Geotechnical Interpretative Reports) and undertaking in critical decision-making. I worked with multi-disciplinary consulting engineering companies in Australia (Sydney and Perth), as a Geotechnical Engineer. Prior to that I worked as a Research Geotechnical Engineer at The University of Newcastle, Australia.
