Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Regional Marketing Manager to join our team and drive our marketing and business development efforts in the MENA region. As the Regional Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, monitoring the regional market landscape and competitors, and developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote our products/services and drive business growth. Your role will play a crucial part in shaping the success of our regional marketing initiatives.
Job Dimensions
Working under our global marketing plan, as Regional Marketing Manager you will work closely with Regional General Manager, Regional Sales Teams, and other functions with functional reporting lines to Lucy Electric Marketing Director.
The role will be based in our Regional Headquarters office in Riyadh and will require traveling to regional countries and to the UK when needed.
Key Accountabilities
1. Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and untapped opportunities in the region.
- Monitor, analyze and summarize regional market dynamics, industry developments, and competitive activities. Own regional competitive benchmarking.
- Establish regional customer segmentation and market sizing inline with global guidelines.
- Identify and evaluate potential target segments, customer profiles, and market entry strategies for effective market penetration.
- Provide insights and own product positioning, value propositions, customer journey mapping and other exercise.
2. Portfolio Strategy and Planning:
- Develop a comprehensive regional portfolio plan aligned with the company's objectives, incorporating market insights and growth opportunities whilst aligning with global strategic direction.
3. Regional Portfolio Management
- New product development: Ensuring that local requirements are considered in product development process by close collaboration with Central Product Management team.
- Product launch planning and execution within the region whilst working closely with Central and regional Marketing communications, Regional Sales and Central Product Management
- Full responsibility for managing local portfolio offering: System updating; Pricing; Benchmarking; Positioning; Competitive Benchmarking.
- Lead VOC programs to capture regional product requirements for the new product developments.
- New vertical entry analysis and planning to gather with Vertical Business development teams (Renewables/EV/etc.).
- Ensure that regional adaptations are cleated and reported back to the Central Product Management Team.
4. GTM and Customer Engagement
- Own Regional customer journey mapping identifying key engagement points and ensuring we serve our customers well by providing expected information in easy to formats which drive positive customer (ease of doing business) engagement and conversion.
- Ensure any local initiatives are logged and tracked using the CRM system
- Identify most effective GTM strategies for countries within the region.
- Work closely with Regional Marketing Communications Manager to establish and execute regional Marketing communications plan.
5. Marketing Collateral and Content Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling marketing collaterals, sales tools, presentations, and digital content specific to the region.
- Ensure that all marketing materials are accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines and local market preferences.
- Ensure that centrally and locally created collateral serves well local customers and is maintained and controlled according to LE procedure.
6. Relationship Management and Collaboration:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including regional sales teams, distributors, partners, and industry influencers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing activities with sales objectives and support lead generation and conversion efforts.
- Liaise with global marketing teams to share best practices, leverage global marketing assets, and contribute to global marketing initiatives.
Requirements
1. Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in Regional Portfolio Marketing and Strategy Management roles, preferably in a multinational or regional company.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Languages: Required: English; Required: Arabic; Preferred: French
2. Strategic Thinking and Market Insight:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to identify market opportunities and formulate effective marketing strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of regional market trends, consumer behavior, and industry dynamics.
- Ability to analyze market research data and translate insights into actionable marketing plans.
3. Product and Localization Project Management and Execution:
- Strong Regional Portfolio life cycle Management skills to effectively plan and manage regional portfolio (New Product Introductions; life cycle management; New Product Development regional requirement inputs; Pricing; Positioning etc.)
- Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, effectively represent regional requirements within highly matrixed organization.
- Experience working with CRM systems.
4. Regional strategy:
- Experience in consistently tracking and synthesizing competitive information for different audiences.
- Skilled in customer/key stakeholder journey mapping to improve customer engagement satisfaction and conversion.
5. Results-Orientation:
- Goal-driven mindset with a focus on achieving measurable objectives and delivering tangible business results.
- Strong analytical skills to track, measure, and report on market and portfolio metrics and make data-driven decisions.
