Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Design Manager -Landscape to join our team! In this role you will provide oversight to realize execution excellence in the delivery of all phases of landscape architecture projects under his/her direction and in the landscape group generally. He/she shall be responsible To coordinate between designers and developers to obtain deliverables with technical excellence of the tasks and analyses performed, regulatory compliance, and for on-schedule completion of landscape projects within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Along with the Project Managers, who are responsible for the overall health and delivery of projects in terms of budget, schedule, and client satisfaction.
• The Senior Design Manager is responsible for delivering technical and aesthetic design quality and value to clients, within allocated hours and associated costs, identifying scope creep as potential variation orders, and otherwise be responsible for the technical delivery of the projects in tandem with the Project Managers.
• Proficiency in managing the design consultants
• Experience and/or willingness and adaptability to transition to a BIM-based design process and delivery paradigm.
• Manage the consultants for the preparation, design and presentation of high-quality landscape design drawings, reports, models and overall package.
• Manage the consultants for the preparation of technical design packages through to tender and manage the production of buildable construction quality packages.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, internal and external team members including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialist designers, all engineering disciplines and quantity surveyors.
• Plan, program and delegate within the team structure and participate in workflow reporting and planning.
• Provide high level liaison with Clients and Client’s representatives.
• Participate in writing technical proposals, estimating levels of effort, work plans, and schedules as required.
• Maintain affiliations with professional societies to keep abreast of development of trends and technologies.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from a recognized university with 20 years’ experience in the landscape field showing increasing levels of responsibility
• Experience managing landscape groups for established Architecture/Engineering firms or the client side
• Proven delivery ability
• Professional registration is required.
• Proven ability to perform in a managerial capacity with excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Good knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
• Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific software for use in completing architectural design assignments.
