SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Finance Manager
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and equipment for the factory's production operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with a network of reliable suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
- Negotiate favorable purchase terms, including pricing, lead times, and payment conditions, with suppliers
- Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement activities with the company's operational and financial objectives
- Oversee the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, sustainability, and compliance standards
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize working capital, reduce storage costs, and minimize the risk of stock-outs or overstocking
- Implement and maintain effective procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier performance tracking
- Develop and maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, including contracts, policies, and procedures
- Train and mentor junior procurement staff to develop their skills and ensure the continuity of procurement operations
- Identify and propose strategic initiatives to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the company's procurement function
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional certification in procurement, such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes
Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address procurement challenges
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Analytical and strategic mindset to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Adaptability to respond to changing market conditions, production requirements, and supplier dynamics
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in the use of procurement management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools
- Thorough understanding of supply chain management principles, inventory control techniques, and logistics operations
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and contract management best practices
