Job Purpose

  • Materials planning for all vendors to ensure material availability in accordance with Sales and Operation plan (SOP).
  • Liaise with Operations and Planning team to finalise factory level SOP and production schedule based on materials availability.
  • Purchase order management.
  • Continuous engagement with suppliers to expedite materials.
  • Inventory management through weekly analysis of stock levels with Global Logistics team.


Job Dimensions

  • This role will be based in LSA.
  • The role will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.


Key Accountabilities

  • Analysis of Materials requirement planning (MRP) in Microsoft Dynamics D365.
  • Maintenance of Master data for MRP- safety stock, bucket size (coverage period), etc.
  • Shortage list preparation- monthly/weekly/order wise shortages and expedite materials.
  • Planning and buying components at the right time and quantity.
  • Managing relationships with existing overseas suppliers.
  • Keeping up to date with production plan and reacting to changes in demand.
  • Monitoring stock value stock turns and outstanding orders.
  • Liaising with colleagues in discrepancy of shipping/packing and non-conforming parts to suppliers.
  • Writing reports and attending meetings with supervisors.
  • Optimizing transportation cost and analysing freight cost.
  • Prepare KPIs and reports for inventory levels and materials availability.
  • ECN & ECR management.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Degree in Engineering or SCM related fields.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Ability to think on feet and handle pressure situation.
  • Knowledge of MS office tools, ERP system.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Planning or Purchasing or any related field.
  • Factory planning understanding essential.
  • Supplier Management and Inventory Management skills.
