Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer (PMP)
Department: Project Management / Planning
Reports To: Project Manager / Planning Manager
Job Summary:
The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring timely execution, and optimizing resource utilization. They provide critical support to project teams by analyzing project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
- Prepare baseline schedules with logical sequencing, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and resource loading.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align schedules with project objectives.
2. Progress Monitoring & Control
- Track project progress, update schedules, and generate progress reports.
- Analyze deviations from the baseline and suggest corrective actions.
- Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis to assess project performance.
3. Resource & Cost Management
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources and prevent cost overruns.
- Support cost control by integrating scheduling data with budget tracking.
4. Risk Management & Delay Analysis
- Identify potential risks that may impact project timelines.
- Conduct schedule impact analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims with delay analysis reports.
5. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Participate in project meetings and present scheduling updates.
6. Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure adherence to contractual requirements and industry standards.
- Implement best practices in planning and scheduling methodologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies (CPM, EVM, etc.).
- Experience in preparing EOT claims and forensic delay analysis.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ﷼13,000.00 - ﷼15,000.00 per month
