Job Purpose

To provide safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services for company personnel and goods, ensuring adherence to traffic regulations and company policies.

Job Context

The Company Driver operates within a team-oriented environment, collaborating with various departments to facilitate operations. This role requires a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and customer service, as drivers often interact with employees, clients, and suppliers.

Job Dimensions

Working Hours: May include flexible hours, overtime, or weekend shifts

Travel Requirements: Local and regional travel; potential for long-distance trips

Key Responsibilities:

Transporting employees and goods safely

Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance

Maintaining accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption

Ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies

Key Accountabilities

These will include:

1- Drive company vehicles to pick up or drop off employees from and to Accommodation & other locations.

2- Deliver important documents to required destinations.

3- Ensure that all deliveries have been signed and delivered to the correct recipient.

4- Keep vehicle clean and maintained at all times.

5- Perform preventative and regular maintenance on vehicle.

6- Perform all office needs.

7- Perform any other responsibilities that required driving as may be assigned by HR Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• Valid driver's license
• High school certificate or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Previous experience as a driver in a corporate or commercial setting (2+ years preferred)
• Familiarity with local traffic regulations and routes
• Experience in vehicle maintenance or inspections is an advantage

Skills

• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of vehicle operation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to navigate using GPS and maps
• Time management and organizational abilities
• Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles is a plus
