Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instrument and Control Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems within our power station facility. This role requires a strong understanding of power plant operations, adherence to OEM guidelines, and the ability to conduct thorough fault investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and testing of various instrumentation and control systems, including but not limited to:
- Transmitters (pressure, temperature, flow, level)
- Control valves and actuators
- Analyzers (gas, liquid)
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Protective relays and instrumentation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex instrument and control system faults, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct thorough fault investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and best practices for maintenance and repair activities.
- Participate in the installation, commissioning, and startup of new instrumentation and control systems.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and completely in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and operators to ensure efficient and reliable plant operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must possess NOC .
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Instrument and Control Technician in a power generation or similar industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of power station operations and instrumentation and control systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of instrumentation and control equipment.
- Experience with PLC and DCS programming is a plus.
- Familiarity with OEM guidelines and procedures for maintenance and repair.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in instrumentation and control technology.
- Experience with specific DCS or PLC systems used in power generation (e.g., Siemens, ABB, GE, etc.).
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
