Job Title: Technical Engineer (MEP)

Job Summary:

The Technical Engineer (MEP) provides technical expertise and support for the design, coordination, and installation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. This role involves reviewing technical designs, preparing shop drawings, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Documentation:

• Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and design documents related to MEP systems.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation for MEP works.
• Coordinate with consultants and architects to ensure MEP designs align with overall project requirements.
• Develop and recommend value-engineered solutions to optimize project efficiency and cost.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical advice and support to project teams during installation and commissioning.
• Address and resolve technical queries or conflicts related to MEP systems.
• Conduct detailed calculations for system sizing, load requirements, and equipment selection.

Coordination and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, and civil) to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Monitor and manage interfaces between different MEP systems and other trades.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Ensure MEP designs and installations comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections to verify that materials and equipment meet project specifications and approved submittals.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities for MEP systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of design changes, technical submittals, and approvals.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP design, installation, or technical engineering roles.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects is preferred.
• Certifications: Knowledge of LEED standards or certifications like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM is an advantage.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) is a plus.

Pay: ﷼7,777.00 - ﷼8,888.00 per month
