Job Title: Mid-Level Interior Designer

(Commercial Workplace Design)

Salary: 15,000 - 17,000 AED per month

Location: Dubai | Office based

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Mid-Level Interior Designer to join our client in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design process from concept through completion, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring that projects meet high standards of quality, innovation, and sustainability. You will work closely with clients, architects, and consultants to deliver functional, aesthetically pleasing workspaces that reflect our clients’ brands and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Design Projects: Assist in managing all phases of the design process, from initial concept development to final delivery, ensuring projects align with client objectives, budget, and timelines.
• Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and needs. Present design concepts and ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
• Team Collaboration: Work with senior designers and other team members, ensuring collaboration, creativity, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Revit Expertise: Utilize Revit to develop comprehensive design solutions, including 3D models, detailed layouts, construction documents, and visual presentations. Ensure that all Revit models are accurate and in line with project goals.
• Space Planning & Conceptual Design: Develop innovative space plans and conceptual designs that meet the functional and aesthetic needs of each client. Translate abstract ideas into creative and practical design solutions.
• Material Selection & Detailing: Assist in the selection of finishes, materials, and furnishings, ensuring that they align with the overall design intent and project sustainability goals.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless integration of all design elements.
• Sustainability Focus: Incorporate sustainable design principles and innovative technologies into every project, ensuring environmental impact is minimized.
• Project Management Support: Assist in project management tasks, including preparing project schedules, budgets, and progress reports. Monitor project deliverables and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Quality Control: Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure design accuracy and adherence to company standards.
• Business Development Support: Participate in business development activities such as pitches and client meetings. Assist with RFP responses, proposals, and the development of new client relationships.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of interior design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing commercial and workplace projects.
• SketchUp Expertise: Proficiency in SketchUp is essential. Knowledge of other design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite) is also highly desirable.
• Collaboration Skills: Experience working in design teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Client-Focused: Ability to understand client needs, communicate effectively, and deliver design solutions that meet expectations.
• Creative Vision: A passion for design, with a strong sense of aesthetics, creativity, and innovation.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building codes, construction methods, materials, and project documentation.
• Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Ability to present and pitch ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex project challenges and deliver successful outcomes.
• Fluent in English: Professional fluency in English is required.
• Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainable design practices and relevant certification programs (LEED, WELL, etc.) is a plus.
