Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Joinery Manager with a strong background in kitchens, wardrobes, and doors, specifically within the UAE market. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, production, and installation of high-quality joinery works while ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency. The role requires expertise in woodworking materials, production techniques, project management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:Project Management & Execution:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of joinery projects, from design to final installation, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
- Manage and coordinate production processes for kitchens, wardrobes, and doors, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
- Work closely with contractors, consultants, designers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Review technical drawings, material specifications, and ensure compliance with UAE industry standards.
Production & Quality Control:
- Supervise joinery workshop operations and ensure materials, finishes, and assembly processes meet quality benchmarks.
- Monitor production schedules, optimize workflows, and implement quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot any technical or design issues and implement practical solutions.
Team Leadership & Resource Management:
- Lead and manage a team of carpenters, machine operators, and site installers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct training sessions to improve skills and maintain high performance in the workshop.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to maximize productivity and meet project deadlines.
Procurement & Cost Control:
- Source raw materials, hardware, and finishing products from reliable suppliers within the UAE.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and implement measures to improve profitability.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure workshop and installation sites comply with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols and conduct regular risk assessments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in joinery (with a strong focus on kitchens, wardrobes, and doors).
- Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience in a similar managerial role.
- Degree/Diploma in Wood Technology, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, finishing techniques, and installation methods.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other joinery design software is a plus.
- Experience in project planning, team management, and client coordination.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes and industry regulations.
