Job Description

To work as per job Instructions given by his Foreman / Supervisor
To apply acquired skills to the best of his abilities
To work with personal safety & the safety of others being the 1st priority
To maintain the standards of house-keeping & safety set by the department / company
As a team member to assist shift and General shift in all the maintenance activities.
Professional Competencies: He should have hands on experience of all kinds of fabrication jobs in steel plant water cooled panels, water cooled ducts, dry ducts, platforms and staircases and other related work etc. Must have to execute fabrication and installation. Must be able to work as a team leader have knowledge of gas cutting, plasma cutting, all types of welding methods i.e. ARC, TIG and MIG etc, related to Steel melt shop.
To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines, or equipment to concerned staff.
To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.
To attend safety trainings planned for them.
Having a right to say “NO” to any unsafe work.
To observe the equipment in the area of maintenance, report and take corrective actions in communication with superior.
