The Mason is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures and surfaces made of bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other materials. This role requires precision, skill, and the ability to follow detailed plans while adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction and Repair:
• Lay bricks, stones, or blocks to build walls, foundations, and other structures.
• Repair or replace damaged masonry components.
• Prepare and lay concrete for various construction needs.
• Preparation:
• Mix cement, mortar, or grout in required proportions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material and layout.
• Prepare and level surfaces before placing masonry materials.
• Maintenance:
• Inspect and maintain existing structures to ensure stability and durability.
• Perform necessary restoration on aged or historical masonry.
• Safety and Tools:
• Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and polish masonry materials.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and guidelines.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaboration:
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide input on project timelines and material requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in masonry is preferred.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with construction materials and techniques.
• Skills:
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
• Strong understanding of geometry, measurements, and proportions.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
