Datamine
has offices in over twenty eight countries and more than 5000 customers, Datamine is a world leading provider of technology to plan and manage mineral exploration and mining operations. Geological Modelling : Datamine's resource modelling software delivers robust geological models for large and small mines across the full range of commodities and deposit types. These flagship products set the industry standard in this field with proven algorithms developed and refined over 30 years. Utilized by the world's major mining houses and consulting firms for the public reporting of resources and reserves, Datamine's resource modelling software systems are robust, reliable and trusted globally. Advanced Estimation is a flexible software solution providing state of the art and industry benchmarked geostatistics. It is an additional Studio RM module and works seamlessly to offer a comprehensive set of proven algorithms designed for a range of skill types from beginners to experts.
Mine Planning : NPV Scheduler is a complete strategic open pit planning software with a powerful array of tools that allows users to efficiently optimise open pit operations.
Studio OP provides automated pit design tools for rapid scenario analysis and tools for medium to short term planning. Studio Survey is a Datamine's new open pit survey product caters for the latest data captures system including drone imagery, lidar and radar. Automated process for volumes and reconciliation deliver efficiency for end of month reporting.
Underground Planning : Studio UG is a comprehensive solution for mine design, scheduling and optimisation that allows the rapid, automatic generation of mining activities from design elements. Datamine's Enhanced Production Scheduler (EPS) is a powerful mining package which allows users to carry out the activities associated with scheduling and monitoring critical resources. Aegis is the next generation in underground blasting software, providing interactive automated underground drill and blast design that allows users to compare different scenarios. Ventsim Visual is a mine ventilation modelling and simulation application featuring a full 3D visual interface with real-time animation of airflow & ventilation controls. Underground Survey (Amine) streamline daily survey tasks and end-of-month processes.

About the Role:
A newly created opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced consultant to join our talented team of specialised Consultants. This role would utilise your knowledge of geology and mine planning set to assist in the implementation of Datamine Geology & Mine Planning and the support of our customers. The position also requires commercial participation and business management.

This role would utilise your knowledge of geology and mine planning set to assist in the implementation of Datamine Geology & Mine Planning and the support of our customers. The position also requires commercial participation and business management.
Role Responsibilities
- To provide technical consulting services to Datamine clients,
- Providing clients with first contact regarding technical support inquiries
- Coordinating more complex support calls between the customer and Datamine consultants
- Staying in touch with the software developers' team in order to report bugs and issues with the software;
- Testing software functionality and writing technical notes to build the knowledge base on FAQ
- To provide software trainings to Datamine clients.
- To provide technical support in the use of Datamine solutions to our client base.
- To assist with the production of databases and demonstration material for marketing and training purposes.
- To liaise with staff in other Group companies and other offices on matters of mutual interest.
- To assist with the testing of software prior to release and with the checking and recording of problems reported by clients.
- To carry out sales and marketing tasks such as the preparation of mailshots, attendance at exhibitions, 'roadshows' to visit prospective clients.
- To carry out any other tasks which may be reasonably expected for the promotion and support of our business throughout the world.
- Any such other duties as may be determined by your Line Manager and above .
The duties listed above will entail travel both within the country and overseas as required for their successful implementation.
Essential Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology or Mining;
- Self-starter, motivated and positive;
- Ability to work effectively in a global team and communicate with people of differing technical and cultural backgrounds;
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Mining & Geology software ;
- Presentation skill;
- Knowledge of mining;
