Position: Piping Designer

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Qualifications:

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas onshore/offshore facilities.
• At least 7 years of working experience in a 3D environment using PDMS or SP3D software.
• Proficiency in E3D and SP3D software is essential.
• Working knowledge of other design tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation is required.
• Field engineering experience will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities/Profile:

The Piping Designer will report operationally to the Area Lead and functionally to the Design Unit Head, with the following key responsibilities:

Plot Plans and Layouts:

• Develop plot plans and equipment layouts.
• Establish pipe rack configurations.

Piping Studies:

• Conduct piping routing studies, particularly for compressors, pumps, air-cooled exchangers, and other critical equipment.

3D Modeling and Design:

• Perform 3D equipment and piping modeling using SP3D/E3D.
• Model pipe supports using SP3D & MDS based on piping studies.
• Route minor lines and incorporate modifications as required.

Design Verification:

• Perform checks such as RDB and clash checks.
• Review and comment on vendor drawings.

Drawing Extraction and Detailing:

• Extract piping isometrics and GA (General Arrangement) drawings from the 3D model.
• Produce detailed piping-related drawings, including isometrics and piping GA.

Material Take-Off (MTO):

• Generate piping MTO and ensure accuracy.

Coordination and Reporting:

• Coordinate with other designers and engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide progress reports and updates on assigned tasks.

Proactive and Collaborative Approach:

• Display a proactive, cooperative, and dutiful attitude in executing tasks.

Skills and Software Proficiency:

• Proficiency in SP3D, E3D, PDMS, and MDS software.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.

Preferred:

• Field engineering experience in oil and gas projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED14,000.00 per month
